Ibrom has worked at the professional and international level in six countries across three different continents.
Jess Ibrom is currently National Mens and National U19’s Head Coach and National Academy Director for the Cook Islands Football Association and recently completed the Advanced Certificate in Sporting Directorship with FOCUS Education as well as the Crusaders Coaching Leadership Programme.
Ibrom is currently the only professional elite coach working within the Oceania region holding three A license coaching awards from UEFA, OFC and USSF respectively. Most recently Ibrom was National Technical Director for the Country of Samoa one of only 211 globally as well as participating in the FIFA Mentorship Program for National Technical Directors. Across a career spanning over twenty three years Ibrom has worked as a National League Head Coach, A League Academy Director, International Scout, Elite Youth Developer, National Coach Educator and National Technical Director.

Ibrom has coached and prepared International teams at World Cup Qualifying Competitions throughout the Oceania Region.

Samoa U19 National Team - Qualified to the Quarter Final Stage of the OFC Championships in 2022.
Samoa Senior National Women’s Team - Qualified to the Semi Final Stage of the Women’s Nations Cup in 2023.
Cook Islands U17 National Team - Progressed to OFC U17 Preliminary Semi Finals in 2017.

Professional Career Summary
Jess Ibrom is a dedicated and passionate football professional with 23 years elite high performance experience. Having worked in the country of his birth the UK as well as the USA, New Zealand, Mexico, the Cook Islands and Samoa. Ibrom holds a English FA “A”, OFC “A” and USSF “A” license as well as other numerous professional qualifications. Ibrom has held a number of high performance coaching positions and senior technical management roles at Professional clubs throughout the world. This includes Chelsea FC of the English Premier League as High Performance Coach and Head of European Operations, the Wellington Phoenix FC as Academy Director in the Hyundai A League and the Houston Dynamo of the Major League Soccer. Ibrom has also been Technical Director for the Countries of the Cook Islands, Samoa and a Coach Educator for the Oceania Football Confederation and the New Zealand Football Federation. Ibrom was Director of Football and National League Head Coach for Tasman United FC in the New Zealand national league. Ibrom has played an influential role in the development of a number of current professional and international footballers now plying their trade in some of the top professional leagues around the world.
